Dr.M.M Kimothi presently Director U-SAC has a long association of about 26 yrs with SAC(ISRO),Ahemdabad as a Senoir Scientist.Currently he is the vice-president of indian society of Remote sensing and Indian Society of Geomatics-Dehradun Chapter.He has 100 research paper published in National & International Journals and Proceeding of seminars and Symposia apart from 60 Scientific/Technical reports and a book to his credit.


1. He has made significant contribution for application and operationalisation of remote sensing techniques with     respect to Himaliyan Ecosystem.
2. Constitution of Uttarakhand Space Application Centre and State natural resource management system in the     state are his major achievements.

Mr.Devendra Sharma M.Sc. Geology, M.Sc. Applied Geology, P.G. Dip. Remote Sensing.Joined Gujarat Water Resiurces Development Corporation on 3.11.1978 as Geologist. Joined Remote Sensing Unit in 1989 and headed the Unit from Jan.2001 - Nov.2008. Responsible for creation of Thematic layers and database generation related to Water Resources for Gujarat State. Sucessfully used Remote Sensing and Aerial Photo interpretation technique during scarcity and drought periods. Worked extensively for site selection for recharge check dams in the state. Joined USAC on 20.11.2008 as Scientist-SD on deputation. 30 years experience in Water Resources including 20 years in Natural Resource Management and Environmental studies using Remote Sensing & GIS technology
