   In the government setup data, generated at the Village, Village Panchayat, Community Development Block, Tehsil, District, Division, State and National level are maintained in the form of booklets/publications etc. either in sectoral department or in Planning Department or in both. In the planning setup these data are maintained in the form of Village Performa in Community Development Block, Sankhyakiya Patrika in District and Division, State Statistical Abstract in the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Planning Department, Government of Uttarakhand and Statistical Abstract, India in Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation, Government of India. These data are captured from Population Census, Agriculture Census, Live-Stock Census, Economic Census etc., Surveys and as a by-product of different government departments. Sankhyakiya Patrika containing 67 tables covering more than 4000 parameters at village, block, town and district level is an annual publication in each district and division. It covers the information related to 18 areas/sectors like   General Information, Area & Population, Agriculture, Fisheries & Animal Husbandary, Co-operative, Industry,       General Education and Social Welfare, Health and Family Welfare, Electricity,           Transport and Communication,Institutional Finance, Water Supply,  Panchayati Raj   , Price, Miscellaneous, Facilities Available in Urban Area, Distribution of Villages According to Distance Range from Different Important Infrastructural Facilities Available, Others (Guest House and Printing Press).
